Maarten relates from his memoirs and shares his own Qigong wisdoms. Over the past 12 years Maarten humbly and consistent practiced ZQ and continues to practice and teach now his health fully recovered after receiving a second kidney transplant in 2018. At the start of Qi Channel in 2015 his health was very poor due to dialysis. Weekly Sunday meetings with high level Chinese Qigong master teachers became his way to help others who were, like Maarten, unable to join retreats with Qigong teachers, because of a lack of means, health reasons or due to a lack of acces to a practice group. In many ways Qi Channel was and continues to be a support group for many people who want to start practice of some method of Zhineng Qigong, improving mental, spiritual health, so he or she can find a safe place within.
